SILENCE / Responsibility

Better
decisions.

Responsibility should be built into a business from the beginning, not added when somebody asks for it.

ESG Policy / Version 1.0 August 2026 Reviewed annually

Our position

Start measuring before there is something to hide.

SILENCE is a young business. That gives us an opportunity: to understand our environmental and social impact while the business is still being built, rather than trying to reconstruct it later.

We know producing goalkeeper gloves has an impact. Materials are manufactured. Products are transported. Packaging is used. Deliveries are made.

We are not going to pretend that impact does not exist. We are going to measure it, understand it and work to reduce it.

Our framework

Three responsibilities.

01 / E

Environmental

Understand where our environmental impact occurs, measure it and make better decisions as SILENCE grows.

  • Measure our greenhouse-gas footprint
  • Track the carbon impact of production and logistics
  • Reduce unnecessary packaging and waste
  • Understand the materials used in our products
  • Prioritise genuine reductions over claims
02 / S

Social

Our responsibility extends to the people who make, sell, wear and experience SILENCE products.

  • Expect safe and fair working conditions
  • Reject forced labour and child labour
  • Market responsibly to young people and parents
  • Treat customers, suppliers and partners fairly
  • Support goalkeeping and grassroots football where we can
03 / G

Governance

Responsibility only matters if the standards behind it are measurable, documented and capable of being challenged.

  • Make evidence-based environmental claims
  • Maintain records supporting our ESG reporting
  • Review supplier standards and information
  • Protect customer information and data
  • Review this policy at least annually

Our impact

From the first pair.

We began building our carbon measurement process from our first production run in 2026. As the quality of our data improves, so will the accuracy of our reporting.

01
Production

Products manufactured, weights, materials and available factory data.

02
Freight

Shipment weight, origin, destination and transport method.

03
Packaging

Mailer boxes, glove bags, tissue, tape, labels and inserts.

04
Delivery

Customer fulfilment, returns, replacements and associated transport.

05
Waste

Samples, defective stock, discarded products and packaging waste.

06
Carbon intensity

Working towards measuring the estimated kg CO₂e attributable to each pair sold.

The approach

Measure. Reduce. Report.

01

Measure

Build the evidence first. Record the activities, products and movements that create our impact and improve the quality of that data over time.

02

Reduce

Use that evidence to identify where meaningful reductions can be made across products, packaging, freight and operations.

03

Report

Share meaningful progress when we have the evidence to support it. No vague green claims. No pretending we know more than we do.

SILENCE Sports Limited

ESG Policy

Version 1.0 / August 2026

1. Our commitment

SILENCE Sports Limited is committed to developing its business in a responsible, transparent and commercially sustainable way.

We recognise that our operations and supply chain create environmental and social impacts. Our approach is to identify those impacts, improve the quality of the information available to us and make proportionate improvements as the business develops.

2. Environmental responsibility

We aim to:

  • Measure our greenhouse-gas footprint on a regular basis.
  • Record relevant Scope 1, Scope 2 and material Scope 3 emissions where data is reasonably available.
  • Understand the carbon impact associated with manufacturing, freight, packaging and fulfilment.
  • Reduce unnecessary materials and packaging.
  • Improve our understanding of the environmental impact of materials used within our products.
  • Monitor product, packaging and operational waste.
  • Prioritise practical emissions reductions before considering carbon offsetting.
3. Social responsibility

We expect people involved in making and delivering SILENCE products to be treated fairly and with dignity.

We therefore seek to work with suppliers and partners who support:

  • Safe and lawful working conditions.
  • Fair treatment of workers.
  • No forced, bonded or involuntary labour.
  • No unlawful child labour.
  • No unlawful discrimination or harassment.

As a brand operating within youth sport, we also recognise our responsibility to communicate and market products appropriately to young people, parents, coaches and clubs.

4. Governance and transparency

SILENCE aims to communicate accurately and transparently about its environmental and social performance.

  • Environmental claims should be supported by appropriate evidence.
  • Records supporting ESG measurements should be retained where practical.
  • Supplier-provided environmental information should be reviewed before being used publicly.
  • Customer and business data should be handled responsibly.
  • Material ESG issues should be considered as part of business decision-making.
5. Suppliers

We recognise that a significant proportion of SILENCE's environmental and social impact sits within our supply chain.

We will progressively improve the information we hold about key suppliers, including manufacturing practices, materials, energy, waste, labour standards and logistics.

Where concerns are identified, we will seek appropriate clarification and corrective action and consider the issue when making future purchasing decisions.

6. Measurement and reporting

SILENCE is developing an internal carbon ledger to record relevant activities and estimate their greenhouse-gas impact using recognised emissions factors and supplier information where available.

Our aim is to improve the completeness and accuracy of this information year by year and ultimately understand the carbon intensity of our products, including estimated kg CO₂e per pair sold.

7. Review

Responsibility for this policy sits with the directors of SILENCE Sports Limited.

The policy will be reviewed at least annually and may be updated sooner where changes to the business, supply chain, applicable guidance or available evidence make this appropriate.

Where we go next

Progress over promises.

We are at the beginning of this work. As SILENCE grows, our aim is simple: better data, better decisions and measurable improvement.
